Overview

A slow, beautiful day two hours from Cairo. Your driver picks you up from your hotel and takes you to Tunis village, on the hills above Lake Qarun, for a traditional breakfast: feteer (Egyptian layered pastry) with honey and old cheese, or a classic Egyptian breakfast.

Then walk through the village famous for its colorful ceramics: visit the workshops, watch the potters at work and try the wheel yourself.

Late morning you ride along the village paths and the quiet shore of Lake Qarun for 1.5 to 2 hours, on a calm horse matched to your level. It suits every rider, from first-timers to experienced riders. Lunch is by the lake before the drive back to Cairo.

Make it a full adventure: add a 4×4 desert safari to Magic Lake and the dunes, with sandboarding and the sunset.

Private: just your group, from 1 to 6 riders, with your own driver and guide. All entrance fees are included and no tips are expected.
